We hope you've been enjoying our performances this past month! While we have been enjoying performing, I think I can speak for many of us when I say I'm glad to announce that we have a bit of a break. Now, that doesn't mean we're done! But it does mean we can start thinking about our crowning achievement each year (in the spring don't worry): the Latinx Culture Show! If you're a first-year, you may not know that Cielito Lindo plans and hosts LCS every year. This means that we coordinate all of the planning, committees, the theme, and other exciting parts of it!
If you or a friend or roommate or classmate or whoever you know likes helping plan events, would want a say in what goes on during LCS, or if you just want to know more, please come to our event on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1:45 pm at Acorns! I'll put more info about that and our upcoming practice below <3 If you have any questions, feel free to let us know! Also, if we don't see you this week, we hope you have a lovely break!
Warmly,
Iris Martinez (he/they)
LCS Planning Meeting
We're going to have our first meeting for LCS! We'll go the event itself, theme ideas, what we've done in the past, what committees are available, etc.
Location: Acorns
Date: 11/19
Time: 1:45 pm
11/19 Practice (Sunday)
We're going to try something different this time! We're going break practice into 20-minute blocks and take requests for dances/styles/steps (that we can actually teach) to go over! If you want to learn about some of the different styles we do, and especially if you're interested in performing the song Cielito Lindo, this would be a good practice!
